    Hotel is really close to train station. I was quite shocked to see LV store here. Restaurant, convenient stores, etc. are just walking distances. Bus stations to get around town is just outside of the hotel. Hotel room is a little rundown. But is spacious. If you need to do laundry, there is 24-hour laundromat walking distances. Just ask the hotel staff on how to get there. Nice hotel to stay and get around Wakayama attractions. Highly recommended!

    I stayed at Hotel Granvia Wakayama for three nights at the end of March 2026, and overall it was a fantastic experience. The room was spacious enough for a solo traveller, and as you’d expect in Japan, everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The location is incredibly convenient—right next to Wakayama Station and connected to shopping centres, which made getting around and grabbing essentials very easy. Wakayama itself is a quieter city, so while there are a few restaurants nearby, the dining options aren’t as extensive as in bigger cities—but that’s part of its charm if you’re after a more relaxed vibe. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, which really added to the overall positive experience. The only minor downside was the lack of a late check-out option. I would have happily paid for a few extra hours, so it would be great if the hotel could offer that in the future. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Wakayama. --- If you want, I can make it more humorous or shorter for platforms like Google Reviews or TripAdvisor.
