I want to begin by saying that I genuinely love the Ritz-Carlton brand. I stayed at the The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage last year and had a wonderful experience overall, which is why I returned. I am not someone who enjoys complaining, and I want to be very clear that my comments are not directed at the staff. In fact, the team was outstanding across the board—professional, warm, and attentive. I did not have a single negative interaction with anyone during our stay. We elected to spend approximately $5,200 specifically to have Club Lounge access, as this has always been something we value: a relaxed, refined space where we can enjoy quality food and service without feeling the need to dine in the main restaurant—while still having that option if we choose. This year, however, the Club Lounge experience felt noticeably diminished compared to our prior stay and to what we associate with the Ritz-Carlton standard. The lounge itself felt very small and overcrowded, which gave the impression that the space is undersized for the number of guests using it. The environment felt rushed and congested, more like a high-traffic airport lounge than a private Club Lounge experience. Additionally, the food quality and offerings were underwhelming. Last year, there was a staffed omelet station and a broader selection that felt thoughtful and elevated. That element was missing entirely this year. The dessert selection, in particular, felt sparse and limited, and overall the variety and

Property is old, unclean, and noisy rooms. Restaurant is mediocre but expensive. I was given $100 credit for the restaurant but after the having a meal there, didn’t use the credit. Cannot recommend for a five star hotel.

Absolutely impeccable stay. We came for our honeymoon and felt so sad leaving. From the 5pm daily lobby manhattans to amazing recommendations in the surrounding areas. Most friendly staff. Shoutout Anthony and Brett!

Very disappointed with pool staff service. Spent the day by the pool with my wife and had to look for staff to get service and reminded them of extra towels I had asked for and they forgot to bring them to us. You had plenty of staff in the adult pool (6 employees) however they all hanged around the bar cabana. It was a hot day, understood however that’s why we needed better service. No supervisor around? Second complaint was at valet, scan code to retrieve my vehicle didn’t work, text message was also not valid, after mentioning it at the valet counter nothing was done to rectify the problem. We retrieved our car 3 times during our weekend stay and every time they struggled locating my keys. Third complaint was with internal restaurant booking, it was booked all weekend and no availability when we asked at concierge. I get it busy Labor Day weekend however it not booked by guest that are staying at the Hotel, why would you not open up outdoor or external restaurant dinning? We had to go to Morton’s steak house on Saturday night and Mastro’s on Sunday. We spent over $700 total on dining, Ritz should of taken that business.

We had a great getaway, except the only thing I would complain is they don’t clean the rooms properly. It was full of black hair on the floor. Roy the bellman was so great. He went out of his way to make sure we are good the restaurant had great breakfast and dinner , we did try the steakhouse also the edge it wasn’t that good , spa is ok ..

A beautiful and serene property with breathtaking views. The ambiance is exactly what you’d expect from The Ritz — elegant and relaxing. Staff were attentive, and the spa and pool areas were a highlight. A few small details could have been improved to make the experience flawless, but overall, a wonderful stay and I’d definitely consider coming back.

We love this hotel and would not stay anywhere else in the area The service is excellent no matter where we were at the hotel. The room was very nice and comfortable. It's hard to be critical of anything but for a 5-Star hotel I was grossed out by all of the stains on every chaise lounge cushion at the pool. The first one I was on had ketchup stains on the side of it. Yes, the staff covers them with Ritz Carlton towels, but it is very off putting seeing these cushions in such a dirty state. They need to be cleaned or replaced more often than they are.

While we checked into the room, there was a in-room dining plate on the floor next to the door. While we took shower at night, and in the shower room already, then saw a bundle of hair on the floor, which is quite unpleasant and unhygienic. We reported the issue to the front desk the next day.

The Edge could not seat us despite being in a suite for over 5 nights. That’s simply unacceptable. Otherwise hotel is very nice.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, and the lobby and common areas have been refreshed. State Fare restaurant was great. Our room was smaller than expected for the price and needed updating. Mattress was too short for our bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Housekeeping forgot to clean our room one day. When I reported it, hotel staff said there was nothing they could do about it. Overall, probably wouldn’t stay there again.

This property is in a private beautiful setting a top a mountain with panoramic views. While its well maintained, it could use an overall update to the decor. I noticed the modern touches that have been added and even some of the dining rooms that have been fully updated. However, botox decor is no longer enough, it's time for the full facelift. Speaking of facelifts, the crowd there is OLD but looks RICH. As for food, the dinner and service were great but the food and service at breakfast...not so much. The live music in the bar and casual restaurant area was excellent, so good, I thought it was Memorex (speaking of old). I also loved just how quickly and efficiently the valet service was. It was cold so getting your car quickly was a big plus.
