    Maui is not what it used to be. Over priced, rude locals (well that hasn’t changed), and overbooked activities, crowded beaches. I won’t be coming back. Thanks for the Anoha!

    As a first timer to Maui and Hawaii, I wasn't quite sure where to stay. A family member suggested Kihei and so I booked Maui Banyan. Easy to get to from the Airport, using the Public Bus System, you will get dropped off near the entrance. First impressions, this place is massive, or so it seems when you're on foot. The room is absolutely massive with spacious area inside, a super comfy bed and a balcony to let that cool island breeze come through. The beach is close by, as well as a mini shopping centre with some restaurants and take away. This area is super safe and super chilled. I could walk to the bus stop to go to a bigger shopping mall or to other parts of Maui. Easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a coffee filter machine provided in the room however for a self confessed coffee lover, I needed more coffee :D Nearby Food and drinks are about 5-10 minutes away. Small selection or you could catch transport and go further into town. There is a nice outdoor pool within the grounds of the resort.

    Agoda did not mention about the cleaning deposit which is as much as the daily rate for this place. It's an old building and there's no elevator. Had I known these facts, I would have not stayed here.

    We arrived at the hotel through you and to our surprise at the hotel we were asked to add a payment of almost the same amount we paid you!!! Simply shame on you and the hotel! We are trying to get our money back but of course no one answers from your side and simply ignores our problem.
