Room was OK - could use some refreshing. Lighting is poor and carpet is worn. Couch is very hard to sit in and takes us room space. Staff members were very helpful and friendly.

Nice location , but make sure check your receipt before you leaving the hotel . They charged me $35 for breakfast which I did not purchase, so when the bill printed out the total amount was different. Front desk was not nice at check out either . They charge $10 / day for parking also . Beside that everything great , very good location , nice and clean .

Provided Breakfast was terrible. Menu was outdated but still being used. There no longer is a kitchen. The supposed 'Fresh' fruit was not fresh. The microwave able breakfast sandwiches were poor and one provided looked like had mold. The only good amenity was the coffee. The only good amenity was the coffee

The light fixture in the room entry would not go off. It stayed on ALL NIGHT LONG!!! I could not call the front desk because hubby had fallen asleep and didn’t want to disturb him after the horrific drive through heavy rain and traffic. PLUS we had to leave our well trained dog at our daughter’s since you now charge $75 per night per dog with the room for us to stay was $104!!! Doesn’t make sense.

Charge for parking - should be free Breakfast had to be charged to room -should be able to pay with a card People upstairs noisy,car doors outside, horns going off. Get a room upstairs and in center so you dont have to deal with noise. The fitness center was the best I have seen in a long time.

The room was good a little dated but it was fine we only had one issue while there and that was the tv wasn’t working meaning they couldn’t get the channels to come on but I was able to connect to my Netflix account so that was fine, plus they ended up giving us free breakfast coupons for our stay and didn’t charge us for parking for the inconvenience! The staff there were great very friendly overall it was a good place and I would defiantly stay there again!

Arrived late & checked in around 11pm. After the credit card terminal declined my card multiple times, staff informed me they were upgrading their system & had been having issues. The entire check-in process was nearly 10 minutes, which seems quite excessive considering it was only me. Woke up to someone attempting to enter my room. Had it not been for the addt’l safety latch, whoever was issued a key to the same room I was in would’ve walked right in!! I called the front desk & explained what happened. She said she would find out & get back to me ASAP. Never heard anything.

arrival day, ownership transition - NO room keys for 24+ hrs. So inconvenient. Needed maintenance to let you back into room. Saving grace - front desk clerk Efram. Always greeted me with huge smile. Very helpful & accommodating. Super personnel. Made me feel welcomed throughout the major inconvenience of NO keys upon arrival. Stayed here in March for wedding. Will not come back again nor recommend Sonesta Huntington Beach/Fountain Valley ever. Sorry...

Arrived w/transfer of new owners. for 24+ hrs NO room keys available. Had to get maintenance let me into room everytime I left it. Unable to enter from rear entrance. One saving grace, front desk person Efram - through it all always accommodating with a huge smile, warm manners & proficient at his job. He's a keeper. Five stars for Efram.

It was very nice and quiet. We were very tired when we got to the hotel. Check in was very nice the the staff was very sweet. The only thing that makes me give it one less star is that we had a bit of a walk to our room. No one’s fault and it is what it is. But when we got to our room, the deadbolt lock was engaged and the door was open. I carefully called out to see if someone was in the room and it was clear. So I thought I’d just use my card to release the deadbolt and we would go in. But it wouldn’t work. So we had to walk all the way back to the desk and being very tired it was not pleasant. The staff were apologetic and quickly gave us another room. They said it happens when maintenance goes in to fix something and forget to disengage the deadbolt. That leads me to believe it happens often which is not good. We then had to walk again to another room.
