    Tried calling unsuccessfully numerous times prior to arriving Upon check-in, we were told that we could NOT have a balcony room as promised (and booked), and we were informed that the “complementary parking” was not so complementary, charging us $10 a night. Asked for a quiet room and we were given a first floor room with parking lot right outside our window and just down the hall from an access door from the outside into the inside hallway, and across the hall from the workout room. The first night there was an electrical problem around 3:30am with the light switch in the vanity area near the bathroom that woke us up making a continuous loud vibrating/rattling noise that would not stop. Called the front desk and were told that we could not get it repaired till after 9 AM in the morning (no maintenance on site at that time). I finally took the switch and socket apart to stop it from vibrating/beeping so we could some sleep as I had a professional bowling tournament I was scheduled for that next afternoon at 1 PM and needed some rest! Both nights there was extreme loud noise coming from the lobby and the pool area as there were roughly 15 children and adults in the pool, screaming and yelling till past 11 PM. The maintenance person that came to fix the light switch in the morning was pleasant and professional and prompt, but some of the staff, including the front desk person that we dealt with, were unfriendly and seemed bothered by our inquiries. Would definitely not stay there again and would most likely never stay at a Sonesta location again

    I had asked for a non smoking room with a pool view. I got a view of the parking lot with a room that smelled .
