Shore Cliff Hotel

Balcony offered amazing views, was a bit unfortunate due to weather to not use the amenities. Special thanks to Elizabeth from housekeeping that made beautiful swans and rose petal designs for our anniversary stay! Very much appreciated!!!

We were only there for one night. Got an ADA room that we didn't reserve. The bathtub backed up and there was dirt and leaves in the bathtub

The room was very clean and freshly painted. It was a terrific overnight day.

The room was excellent and roomy. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Staff was highly accommodating! Pool and hot tub were amazing. A lot of construction going on right now. No lights on the entrance made us miss the driveway more than once. Room was comfortable. AC unit was kind of loud. A great location with an easy walk to the beach (got some stairs though). I would highly recommend the Shore Cliff Hotel and we will be back!

There was a long line for check-in at 4pm. We had to wait for 40 minutes to only find out that our room wasn't ready. The worst part was the front staff was rude and unkind. We canceled the booking and drove 2 hours back home.

I had a fantastic stay at the Shore Cliff Hotel. First, the customer service was excellent. It was raining when we arrived, but the front desk team stayed upbeat, which made a big difference for us. Second, the room was warm and welcoming. We booked the two-bedroom suite and the view was absolutely breathtaking. And the morning breakfast? Excellent. You can tell a lot of care and planning went into making sure guests have a great experience. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Elevator was out had to walk up three flights of stairs no help at six in the morning when checking out light out front was out been out I guess for two weeks couldn’t recognize a place or find it driving past. It won’t stay there again.

We had a lovely View from our balcony room of the waves, seabirds and the lighthouse far off in the distance. Very good breakfast with great coffee. Outdoor pool was warm very clean. Really enjoyed our stay here we'll be back.

Room was good, staff was nice. Half the hotel was down for renovation but they gave me a room with a great view.

Yes, everything was great

This was our first time staying at Cliff Shores and we loved it! When I had booked that, I thought it was another hotel down the street with a similar name. I actually stopped there first and immediately noticed an arrogant vibe. Once I realize a mistake, I drove to Cliff shore and was so happy that it was not staying at the other place! The hotels clean, rooms are spacious, the views are spectacular There is renovations going on in one of the buildings, but that did not at all interfere with our stay. We look forward to coming back at least twice a year!

I wish the Hotels.com would let you know when a property is under renovation. I’ve been to this hotel a dozen times now and this was by far the worst experience. Half of the hotel is closed for renovation and the half that is open is not in very good shape. The rooms are awesome, but the amenities are seriously lacking. They charge a “resort fee” of $40 for one day but have pretty meh amenities. A very tired gym and a tiny swimming pool, particularly given that this property appears to have nearly 100 rooms. Incidentally, they charge a $15 parking fee, which isn’t disclosed in the Hotels.com and Tac this on after you have already booked. So much for full disclosure prior to booking 😡 They do host a hot breakfast, which is on par with the lower median of hot breakfast hotels. Beware… A tough thing for many is it’s a three-story building and the elevator is out of order. Having said all that it’s a beautiful view and has such great potential. Not exactly sure why but the check-in staff are really crabby and not helpful at all. Maybe it’s because they’re tired of all the construction around the site. I don’t really know why it’s gone downhill so fast but hopefully, with any luck at all, it will go uphill equally as fast once they finish the other half of the hotel. I really hate slamming this place because I used to love it, but given the added on charges and the poor customer service, I feel like I have to reach out to my fellow traveler.

Such an amazing stay! We had a gorgeous room on the third floor and the views were unbelievable! Staff is very kind and the breakfast is hearty and tasty! I can’t imagine going back to Pismo Beach and staying anywhere else. Looking forward to return visit!

Considering it was a one day getaway, we didn’t find out until the day before it was under construction. The noise was limited but the elevator was out of order so it was an inconvenience. The room was very clean but the pillows were worn out and very uncomfortable. We were hoping to hear more of the ocean waves but felt the freeway noise was alot louder. The check in was pretty easy. Parking was convenient. The view was a beautiful and were able to see the sunset.

The staff did a great job working around a major construction project, a temporary lobby and a non functioning elevator.

Better breakfast options

They recommend a fabulous restaurant! Rooms were so quiet, especially since they are so close to the 101 freeway. Breakfast had gluten free options. Nothing but good things to say, and that we will definitely be staying here again
