Where to even start? First, when we walked into our one-queen room, it smelled like rotten feet or something. We immediately opened the window. We opened the window, and there was a barking dog coming from the parking lot. I don’t know if it was in a vehicle or coming from another room. Let’s just say it barked for about three hours. The first thing we noticed was that the floor was disgusting. There were shiny spots on the carpet from dirt smashed into the carpet fibres, and you could see patches of dirt that had become shiny from being walked over so many times. Let’s just say the shoes didn’t come off. The lights in the bathroom didn’t work. We left them on, and eventually they came on by themselves after about 15 minutes. Don’t bother using the sink—it automatically plugs, and these wonderful rust-coloured chunks came up with the plugged water. It slowly drained and left whatever chunks were left behind. I must say, the bed was pretty comfy, but we basically slept on top of the sheets. In the morning, when it was time to shower, the lights didn’t work again, so I used the flashlight from my phone. The temperatures were hot or scalding hot. Those were your choices. When I grabbed a towel, it was wet. I didn’t know if it was wet from washing and just wasn’t dried properly, or if it had been previously used and then just folded and put back. So, let’s just say the hand towel served as my towel. We stayed here many years ago, and I don’t remember it being this bad. This hotel is in major need of a renovation. This is not a Wyndham-standard hotel, that’s for sure.

Staff was rude upon checking in. They wanted to charge a $200 deposit, because I live locally. They waived the fee, but told me "dont f*ck up my room." My reservation was for a queen size bed, the bed in my room was a full. The guy at the front desk told me "there's nothing he can do about it." The security doors that usually require a key card to open, were completely broken, allowing anyone to have access to the hotel. There was a transient sleeping on the stairs in the hallway all night. Also, the door handles on my room, and several other rooms near mine...the screws had been removed, making the locks on the doors worthless. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well. The hotel needs a lot of work done, and making sure that guests are safe...should be a priority!
