Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey's Hotel & Bungalows

The staff at Aggie Grey’s are just phenomenal. I can think of no other adjective than phenomenal. I didn’t want to leave. And not just because I was on holiday, every single staff member had a smile on their face everytime I saw them and the experience just filled my heart. Samoa is beautiful but the Samoan’s are out of this world.

We stayed for 5 nights. First off, the staff are amazing! We couldnt fault any of them, very friendly and helpful. However, we stayed in the King rooms and Garden Bungalow. King rooms were spacious but cleanliness wasn't the best. My room got serviced once the whole 5 nights and I didn't receive all my towels. Bed was firm but very big and comfy, aircon was great. The bathrooms smell terrible in the mornings. Lap pool right outside the rooms but only 3 deck chairs and one was ripped. Good location as these rooms were on the other side of the main pool and restaurant so it was quiet. TV was huge, good channel selection and you can stream easily enough. Garden Bungalow had a wee mouse running around so that wasn't fun at 1am. Good size room. Restaurant - drinks and food were expensive, as expected, but not a lot to choose from. Wish there was more Samoan food on the menu! The oka and poke were amazing, as was the carbonara but the fish dishes we got were dry. Breakfast buffet was decent enough, good selection, egg station was good. Cocktails were good, strong pours. It wasn't too busy around the hotel so it was quiet. Fiafia night was ok (Friday night). Lobby bar was a let down because unfortunately the lovely staff member didn't know how to make the cocktails so they weren't as good as the ones we had downstairs. I don't think we'll stay there again because you don't get the real feel of Samoa but it was just ok. Staff again, amazing!

Good facilities, breakfast was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at. Good location. We enjoyed our stay, thanks.

Musky mould smell in the room on arrival after waiting 45mins for check in as our room wasn't ready. Was told maintenance will look at it cause it maybe the air con we'll nothing had been done. Had to leave air con running while windows open to stay in that room 🤢. Apon arrival went to the bathroom and found black mould covered on the soap 🤯 threw that straight in the bin. Fresh towels daily was a mission they don't replace them daily had to literally ring reception or go to reception to ask for new towels. The location is about as good as you are going to get for this 5 star hotel. It's a no for me next time. There's previous reviews in the past about mould and musky smell in rooms and obvious nothing's been done about it so don't bother.
