    Loved this place! Was here only for one night but it could’ve been a great spot to spend a longer stint at. Staff was very kind and helpful, the building is beautiful, the rooms could use AC but that is the only note and a hard ask for these older buildings. I liked that they had a water bottle filling station, extra storage for whatever may not fit in the bed lockers, and the bathrooms are co-ed but everything is secure and clean.

    Stayed here for several nights and had a really good experience. The building has a lot of character, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is great with easy access to transport links. The breakfast was good, the facilities were clean, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I felt comfortable during my stay and would happily stay here again. Great value for London and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

    First off, some good things: the location is rather convenient as the hostel is situated dead-center between two metro stations connected to different lines. Both require some walk uphill, but it's generally fine. About a 20-minute metro ride to major sights. Not a lot of brunch spots around. The hostel feels relatively secure, with the front door requiring card access at night. Shower facilities are ample; I haven't had to queue for one. This is a bring-your-own-padlock type of hostel, though you can buy at the counter. Ear plugs are provided for free when requested. The biggest issue with this hostel is comfort and convenience. For us, the toilet is situated on the other side of the building, separated by card-access doors. God knows lugging things to shower at a hostel is troublesome enough without having to open card-access doors. The hand gel leaves a suspicious slimy cast on your hands. (I was wondering why the shower curtains were so slimy. God I hope that's why.) The stairs everywhere are a safety hazard as the steps are steep but small. I've overheard two separate individuals complaining about the stairs at the counter. The rooms are stuffy as most hostels are. The whole room shakes whenever someone takes a step in the room. There's no way to turn on the lights without waking everyone up, so after dark you have to navigate a pitch-black room to your bed. Even your bedside light will disturb others, so don't bother turning it on. There are no hooks for clothes or towels, so some are haphazardly and hazardously slung over the radiator, and others over the bed frame. I booked the room close to the check-in date, so I didn't have much choice. But there are better hostels for the price and in much better locations.
