Lanna Bonita Boutique Hotel

This is the 28th year. We’ve been coming to Chang Mai Thailand. I’ve stayed and over 40 places averaging two months a year in this wonderful country. Lanna has been our new favorite the last three years staying in average of 16 days each time. Staff, Location, air-conditioning Wi-Fi and TV worked perfectly. We will be back.🙏💜

Would not patronise again nor recommend people to this hotel due to the negative experience of their service associates. 1. Upon checking in, staff had advised how to operate the doors and when I wanted to try it out, she gave an irritated face which seemed to show like its a hassle to try it out. 2. Secondly, she gave a leaflet which includes a long list of information for reading but however, upon seeing the pantry and asking how it works, she tried insisting that I read the brochure and everything is in it. While it couldn't hurt to just reply the question, she just shoved all explanation to the leaflet. 3. When we collected the key card and went up to the room, the power wasn't working and we had to go down again to inform the staff. She offered no apology and said she will go back to fix it. Upon returning, I politely asked if i could get a room with a big bed as requested through the booking platform, she gave the irritable look again and said the room I booked has only twin beds and told me to check it again. She did not even offer if I wanted to pay to upgrade to a bigger room - Poor sound proofing, able to hear the streets and other noises - Small files like bugs inside the room Though the interior design of the room was nice with daily amenities given, It seems to me that the staff is just there for the sake of working, no professional service was rendered, and no matter how good the place looks, poor hospitality will certainly tarnish it's image.

The room we booked was very spacious with higher than usual hotel ceilings. The room itself was very well equipped, well decorated, and very comfortable. Bathroom was also very nice and overall, the room had everything we needed. They did not have a baby crib but we manage to create a comfortable sleeping situation for our little one using couch cushions. The wifi was considerably slow, even for streaming shows on the TV or for doing any laptop work so we hope they will work on that. The staff was very accommodating and consistently cordial. The common area was very well equipped with whatever you needed, especially if you bring food back from the nearby night market. You can reheat your food there and even use their bowls and plates, which is a very nice touch. It is very difficult to bring a young one to the night market and comfortably eat at the same time so doing this in our room was very much a bonus.

It’s a hostel type not hotel. The place is neat and clean. Bunk beds. We were a family of three, only two coffee sachets in room. When asked for extra, told it’s not the policy to give more than two. Have to make extra coffee in the pantry area downstairs. Quite odd when you are charging room rent for three people. No breakfast but you can have it at a bakery in the ground floor at your cost, however they give 10% off to boarders. Location is good, there is local market nearby but the night market is 30 mins walking. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay.
