    Booked the family room in what's essentially a 2-storey bungalow in the heart of Chiang Mai. The location is fantastic - just a short walk away from the main shoping street and the rest of the old town. But upon checking in, we noted that the floors, walls and bathroom do look a little run down - so the photos do look better than the actual thing. That said, we opted to take it that this added charm to the place. So if you're looking for an Instagrammable place to stay, expectations may need to be tempered. There's no front desk, so checking in and out is done via messaging with the hotel Agoda and the communication was seamless. There's a cafe at the front of the house on the ground floor, and when we first arrived and looked lost, there was a surly guy running the cafe there who looked like our mere presence was an affront to him. But no biggie - we steered clear of him and the cafe for the duration of our trip. In all, it was a pleasant stay - just need to take things easy and know that you get what you pay for.

    I reserved only one bedroom and somehow got like half of the hotel with full facilities lol. The atmosphere is insane, and the room is so wide and clean with those natural cozy vibes.

    I contacted them via email and Messenger days before our trip for specific check-in instructions since we were to arrive at 1am. No response and they only answered after several attempts at calling when we were at the front door of the place at 1am unable to get inside and under the rain. The check-in instructions were actually very simple, yet they did not bother to contact us and send the instructions over before our check-in date or the morning of the day itself, even. This would have been a good stay otherwise, but the lack of communication is extremely disappointing.
