Harmony Resort Hotel

I stayed at the Family Residence Room from 12 August and overall had a great stay, despite an unfortunate incident during check-in. Upon arrival, I was informed that breakfast was not included in my booking. I believed it was included and mentioned this to the front desk staff. While I was reviewing my reservation details, another staff member standing behind the counter made an impolite remark in Thai, which sounded like, "You booked it yourself, you should read it yourself." Although I did not react immediately, I told the front desk staff that I would verify my booking details later. Even if breakfast was not included, I was prepared to pay for it separately. After checking into my room, I reviewed my reservation and realized it was my mistake. The booking stated "Breakfast Available" rather than "Breakfast Included." However, I could not forget the rude comment made by the staff member. I returned to the front desk and requested to speak with her directly. I expressed my disappointment regarding her attitude and lack of professionalism toward a guest. Unfortunately, she showed no remorse and did not offer an apology. Her posture and manner also came across as confrontational. I requested to speak with the Duty Manager, but was informed that she would only be on duty the following morning. The next morning, the Duty Manager, ***, came to my room together with my Thai friend to discuss the matter. She listened attentively as I explained the incident and assured me that it would be investigated. Later that afternoon, she updated me on the outcome. The staff member had been subjected to disciplinary action and would undergo further training to improve customer service standards. Khun *** also generously offered complimentary breakfast for the remainder of my stay, which I politely declined, as I preferred exploring the delicious local Thai food outside the hotel. 😁 I would like to sincerely compliment Khun Bee for her professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to take corrective action. Incidents like these can negatively impact a hotel's reputation if left unaddressed. Her prompt handling of the matter demonstrated genuine care for guests and commitment to maintaining high hospitality standards. About the Hotel The Family Residence Room was spacious and well-equipped. It features two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and another with a single bed. I invited my Thai friend and her children to stay with me, and they thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and the clean, peaceful environment. The room also came with a microwave and washing machine, which were extremely convenient. I was able to do my laundry during the trip without having to bring everything home. Laundry detergent was available for purchase in the lobby at an affordable price of only 20 Baht. Alternatively, there was a small Big C store located right next to the hotel where guests could easily buy daily necessities. Overall, the stay was excellent. This hotel was recommended by my Thai friend, and I can see why. I would also recommend booking online rather than walking in, as online booking platforms often provide better rates and discounts. Despite the unpleasant incident during check-in, the hotel's facilities, comfort, and the outstanding service recovery by Khun Bee made the stay a positive experience. I would definitely book this hotel again on my next visit to Chiang Mai. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)

Bed is really hard and the room is not as clean as I expected. There were also bugs in the room.

We stayed here one night. It was clean enough, but pretty run down. The set up is fine, but a bit cramped for the three of us. Also the bed was very firm. I wasn’t sure whether I was sleeping on a piece of plywood or a mattress (I’ve slept on plywood before in a small village).
