I stayed at this property for two consecutive nights (booking each night separately). While room amenities (like the interior, spaciousness, hot water) had bright spots, the overall guest experience was hampered by poor check-in procedure, inaccurate room assignments, and lack of hospitality basics. Upon arrival on day one, check-in took roughly 6–7 minutes while standing outside with all my luggage before being processed. On the second day—after returning due to heavy rain—the check-in process was again conducted through a window while I held my wet belongings. The door lock mechanism in the second room could not be safely removed after locking, forcing me to leave it unlocked/in the door overnight. I paid an extra *** on Agoda specifically for a "Mountain View" room, but was initially placed in a room facing the garden. When I brought it up to staff via translation, I was shown a higher-tier room. After moving my luggage, I was informed via telephone that moving into this room would cost an additional *** on top of the extra fee I had already paid. Due to this, I moved back to my original garden room. No clear resolution or apology was provided for the initial view discrepancy. Room 1: The room was physically comfortable and featured a deep bathtub with excellent hot water temperature/pressure. However, the tub was dusty upon arrival and contained a few stray hairs, requiring me to clean it before use. I also had to wash the kettle and the fridge wasnt working when plugged in. • Room 2: The lighting in the room was exceptionally dim. Additionally, while the Agoda listing advertised a hairdryer, there was none provided in the room. The coffee cups were very spotty, I had to rewash them before using. Food Quality: I ordered Pad Kra Pao from the on-site kitchen. Rather than standard minced or sliced chicken, the dish was prepared using sliced, deep-fried chicken nuggets, which resulted in an unusually oily and overly salty meal. I’ve been living in Thailand for a long time and I was surprised to see this version of Pad Kra Pao for the first time. For me personally the fact that the fridge isn’t working or that the hairdryer is missing is not a big deal. My biggest disappointment was that people who work there - they seem nice - but they lack basic understanding of how to make their guests welcome. Don’t make them stand around in random places with they bags, either help them or bring them somewhere to sit down. If you see them again, say hi! It’s nice having you back! It’s the little acts of care that counts. Also, I think, if your guest pays more money for a room you can’t provide, at least offer a Thai tea on a house, like it doesn’t have to be big, in my case I didn’t even get an apology. Just for the record - for my first room I’ve paid *** and *** for the second one. The property isn’t located in a city but the prices were still quite high, therefore the service should be better.
