    Everything nice including forested surroundings, river, just beside main road, good-spread breakfast included. Dinner last order is 7pm.

    Good place for relaxing your mind after work

    This was clearly a nice place when built - huts set among lush vegetation falling down to a pretty stretch of river. There are dining lodges on the river bank which are still nice. However, like many hotels in Thailand (and we have one in the family) it has suffered a dire lack of maintenance, reinvestment of takings and renovation. The rooms we chose from all smelt damp, as not that many guests seem to stay and they are not aired. Bizarrely our bathroom was set below floor level, so the door lintel was at eye height and had hazard tape on it - I smacked my head and had to tape padding on it. The walls and floors have engrained dirt, and all the common areas are grubby and uncared for. Having stayed in hundreds of hotels in Thailand, I’d say the rooms are double the price they should be. The whole place needs painting and bringing up to date - but it won’t be; I predict this will end up unsellable and abandoned in a few years.
