    Pros: 1) Rooms are renovated with enough space and vibrant light, comfy beds, and a bathtub. 2) Pool was enjoyable. 3) A lot of freebies during our stay, even the New Year dinner was complimentary which we truly appreciate. That was a great idea.🙏 Cons: 1) Though the staff try their best to accommodate to guest's request, they surely need more training to listen more to customers and respond in a more professional way. They're not rude but some of the staff do not know how to politely refuse. The response sounds more negative than helpful even if they don't mean it that way. 😃 Also, when we arrived from a long trip, we requested for a large bed in advance but was surprised it was 2 single beds. This is something non-negotiable for parents like us with a little kid. So requests shall be read promptly in advance to accommodate guests better - especially that their bed set-up cannot be combined together as 1 large bed. Nonetheless, I saw them try their best in a way they know. They just really need proper training in hospitality to sound more encouraging.🫶 2) I just feel embarassed to use the golf cart when going back and forth to the lobby/parking. The distance many not be too long but there are times you want to speedily get things and walking doubles or even triples the time - especially that the parking is not conveniently situated near the rooms. But the two times I asked for a buggy, I felt the driver/attendant finds it as an inconvenience so we just never use it again. It's the first time we felt that way with our accommodations here in Thailand in using buggies. 😂 May not be a deal-breaker but I think it will help to improve that as part of hospitality. 3) It's about 20km from the city center and we tried booking Grab but to no avail. So if you don't have a car, or you book a certain tour like the elephant sanctuaries, those programs may not pick you up or may ask for additional cost if they do. So just a heads up. All that; however, this is still pretty much a recommendable resort. These are just small issues that may be pretty much negotiable for other customers. But we write this to probably improve their service more to even become more successful. 🫶 Thank you, Mae Jo Resort for trying your best.❣️

    The pool has just been reopened. They are still building toward the back of the property but this didn’t affect us at all. There didn’t seem to be many people there and breakfast was choose from a menu but it was plenty. You would need a car as it is a long way from town. Overall a peaceful and quiet place to stay but far from most things.

    Upon arrival, there were many ants in the room. Front desk was notified and she came and sprayed the room. Breakfast was decent. We played a round of golf and was disappointed at the conditions of the greens. It looked like the greens were sewn together.
