    We were very disappointed when we arrived to find that Sawadee had missed our booking and they didn’t have a room for the first night. It took some time for someone who spoke English to arrive and explain the situation. He then booked us into another hotel and drove us there. The following morning he collected us and drove us back to Sawadee but then we had to wait as the room wasn’t ready. When we finally got into the room it was quite large and the bed was huge. We loved that we were walking distance to the beautiful Long Beach. It was a short walk to the main road which was a bit scruffy but we had lovely meals from the simple restaurants there

    As a solo female traveler this was off the beaten path. Taxi driver couldn’t find it so I had to walk down dirt roads behind a Thai neighborhood that was a bit sketchy and very dark at night.
