    A little gem on the northeast of the island.great value for money..if your looking for a quiet calm relaxation place this is it..fantastic location beautiful beach lovely little community great restaurants and a some nice relaxed bars .peace and tranquility in a shell..looking forward to my next trip there already

    This place has potential, but unfortunately it hasn't been maintained well. The cleaning lady was the only staff member who cleaned our room every day, and she was wonderful. However, our room was extremely small, the bathroom had a bad smell, and the air conditioning was weak. The location is great and the beach is very close, which is probably the biggest advantage of staying here. However, the pool needs cleaning, the pool chairs are falling apart, most of the umbrellas don't open, and there was almost never anyone at the reception desk. There is also a Starlight store on the property, but it only opened once during our five-day stay. The store itself was fine, but all we could hear from our room was a dog barking continuously. What disappointed us the most happened on our last day. We called the taxi driver ourselves to book a ride to the pier for the following morning, and he quoted us 600 THB. At checkout, the lady at reception told us she was only returning 200 THB from our 1,000 THB deposit because the taxi cost 800 THB. I explained that I had already spoken to the driver and he had confirmed the fare was 600 THB. When I called him again, I realized the receptionist had already been speaking to him in their native language. As soon as he answered my call, he suddenly changed the price by 200 THB. It was obvious that the receptionist was taking a commission. I don't mind tipping someone 200 THB, but changing the agreed price at the last minute was completely unprofessional. Since we had to catch the ferry, we really had no choice but to use that taxi. Overall, we were not impressed with this place or with the way it is being managed. The cleaning lady was the only genuinely kind and hardworking person there, and she was the only staff member I happily tipped. To the owner: this property has real potential. Please invest in maintaining it properly and consider hiring better front desk staff. Right now, the place feels neglected and is slowly falling apart.
