We really enjoyed our 2 night stay there. We opted to stay there and do a full dugong trip from the hotel, pick up was with a boat along the river, such a lovely way to start the tour. Hotel is in a beautiful location with a view to match. We rented a scooter from coron and drove ourselves there. Some of the dinner meals were OK, some where good, they were all fresh.

The Riverhouse is probably the closest hotel from the airport, however the van transport (no tricycles available) cost us more than if we went back to downtown Coron. The place is very remote, close to the river, and we went through some dirt road to get there. Because the place is secluded and surrounded with trees and all kinds of plants there were a lot of mosquitoes. The main WiFi router was in the restaurant and the signal was very weak. The signal was even weaker to almost none from our room. The room smelled moldy when we first went in probably due to the rooms not getting used much low season. After a while once the a/c was turned on, the smell started to fade away. On a good note, our dinner and breakfast were truly excellent, compliment to the chef! The meal preparation, silverwares, and service were bar none. Our host (Bing) was very attentive and very informative. We had a great conversation with her about the place and life in Coron. The view of the river and surrounding mountains from the restaurant was breathtaking and relaxing. I think our experience could have been better if it was on a different/high season where more guests were staying.

Very Basic with next to nothing to do. And beware the thousand mosquitos that live in the rooms!
