I chose the Bay View Room and the view is just perfect. The breakfast at “Fresh” is perfect. There are so many choices and there is no way one could try everything.

Beautiful Hotel. Excellent service although we waited long for a simple lugaw at Lucky noodle. The carpet was dirty in my room and the hallway, lacking a toilet bidet. The last time I stayed which was in 2024 it was fresher and cleaner and the bidet was right in the toilet unlike this one which was just a hosepipe on the wall. The breakfast at Fresh was excellent, a lot of food variety, they are good and the place is super clean and presentable. I will do it again but may question the cleanliness of the room carpeting and bidet situation next time.

Before I share my complete standard full review, I would like to share here for everyone’s reference to be cautious with what they eat during their stay at Solaire. My wife, my 1 year old baby, and myself were food poisoned after our 3 days, 2 nights stay here. We already communicated this issue through Yakumi, their Japanese restaurant, because that’s where we last ate before we got sick. We filled out the forms, and other questions, but to date no findings with their investigation. We all got sick for 4 days now, and our baby suffered the most. We do not intend to put Solaire in bad light but we had to bring this up for the readers because of the inconvenience, extreme stress because of our baby who got sick, anxiety, and the days we were not able to work. My profile will show that we’ve been fair in our reviews with our stays in various hotel and resorts, in the Philippines and internationally. Hope Solaire takes action and hope it does not happen to any future guests. Now, on to my complete standard review below: Stayed for 2 nights with my wife and our 1 year old baby boy for a long weekend staycation. 1. LOCATION • Area is a bit far from other commercial establishments and landmarks. Coming from Pasig City, it took us about 1 hour travel time (not rush hour). • Accessible if you have your own vehicle and via Grab or taxi. Did not see any public transportation available in the area. 2. HOTEL GROUNDS AND FACILITIES • The main entrance is gated and there are guards conducting the vehicle inspection. There is not enough directional signage as to where is the hotel drop-off is, and did not notice any valet signs. When we asked the guard where is the drop-off, he gave us directions but apparently it was incorrect because it led us to the theatre drop-off area. We had to turn around again and re-enter. The taxis lined up are sort of blocking the ramp going to the main drop-off area. • There are two towers; Bay Tower and Sky Tower. It would be ideal if you know which tower you are staying so you can drop-off and check-in closer. As for us, we booked via Agoda so we did not know yet which tower we will be assigned to. We dropped off at the Bay Tower. • The main-drop off area is huge and very busy. • Valet parking is available, free of charge, for hotel guests. • Upon entering, there is a nice small fountain area but you’ll immediately notice the slot machines all around the place. • The hotel reception area is just along the main corridor. There is a huge sign “Registration Area”. • Going around the hotel grounds, the slot machines and other casino games can be easily seen. Nothing separates the casino from the common areas so young children are exposed to it, including the cigarette smoke. • There are 6 passenger elevators at the Bay Tower. All worked well. • There are various restaurants within the complex but mostly are operated by the hotel as well, except I think for Abe and Kkanbu. • Food court is in the middle of the casino area. It is very crowded. Tried to fall in line but service was a bit slow so just decided to order room service. Again, going to the food court is not kid friendly because you need to pass through the casino area where a lot of people are smoking. • Most of the luxury brands are in the complex. Ideal if you are into shopping for high end bags and watches. • The swimming pool is big and nice but it is not heated. We went for a swim around 10AM and the water is cold. We just stayed for a few minutes and left. • Spa and gym are available but we didn’t try it. • There is a nice speakeasy bar, BRB, at the lower ground (accessible via stairs). • There are no kid friendly activities in the area, except for the nice open spaces near the Oasis Garden Café, where they can roam around. Other than the pool and in this area, nothing much for the kids. • The access to the pool bar during our stay was very confusing. Different staff pointed us to different directions. It wasn’t worth the price we paid for. We expected a very high return of what we paid but we were so disappointed compared to the previous hotel we stayed at. We were embarrassed with our relatives who went with us and checked in for 2 more rooms but they were unhappy too. Thats my honest opinion.
