    Off / fishy smell welcomes us upon entering our rooms. We have to buy disinfectant sprays and room deodorisers to feel clean and comfortable. We will not stay in this motel ever again!

    I’ve stayed here recently and enjoyed my stay which is why I rebooked. Travelled with my friend for a sporting competition requiring cooling facilities. On opening our room we found the room had an unusual smell to it. Walking into the second bedroom there was a leak and towels on the window sill mopping up dripping liquid. I approached the person on reception who advised me they knew about this and couldn’t do anything about it. The plumber had been asked to attention but had not shown or given an indication when this would occur. When discussing this with the staff member, they seemed confronted that I had brought this up?? They had known there was a leak but did not seek to discuss this with us properly to our arrival. When discussing my concerns of this only then offered they offered me a refund and to book somewhere else. We had already arrived, unpacked and needed to start using the kitchen facilities. The room with the leak in it, the window would not close and the unit smelt unusual. It was cold and drafting and my friend could hear dripping in the night. The fridge also did not have a shelf which made it difficult to use for two people who eat separately. The kitchen knives were also incredibly blunt. It would have been appreciated if prior to arrival that notification and offer of refund occurred so we were able to book somewhere else as when we arrived, it was too late to be able to do this due to our commitments. I wanted to discuss this with management first to understand if we can work towards a resolution and partial refund before I place a review of the accomodation. This was not taken up by the owner. I wouldn’t recommend staying purely because of the service and communication. Unfortunate as it is an older facility that would benefit from a bit of tidy up but a great central location.

    Clean apartment but the carpet and couch smell, put me off. Was too late to get a refund and find elsewhere. I chose this due to the good reviews....affordable yes, friendly owner yes, the smell met me before the aesthetics.
