Amalina was amazing and courteous. Staff was exemplary in searching for a room that does not contain as much mold as the bathroom in the room I was previously assigned to (Room 604), and changed it to 515 straight after receiving my complaint.
Housekeeping were also diligent in cleaning out the rooms and ensuring that the room is spick and span the next time you come back into your room.
Room: 7/10
Eventhough the room is a little run down, it is spacious for the budget. While there is no electric kettle provided inside the room, there is a water dispenser (hot and cold) in the corridor of each floor.
There is an ample of electrical sockets around the room (1 international outlet design and 3 type G), a mini fridge, a safe, iron and ironing board, open wardrobe, a full length mirror and the room gets cold quickly too (very good for the Malaysian heat!) it also retains the cold for long period of time after turning off the aircond.
The view from 515 is amazing as I get to watch the sun sets behind the hill.
Bathroom: 2/10
Unfortunately, this is the worst part of the room. Room 604 in particular has a buildup of mold sprawling in the shower grout and around the toilet sink. Again, the staff took action as soon as I mentioned it to her.
Things are a little bit better in room 515 but it is still a little bit moldy.
The frosted window from the shower facing the bedroom allows a lot of light to leak through during the night. This means that if someone is using the bathroom, you will know it.
Water pressure is good and it gets quite hot and cold according to your preference.
Side note: There is no parking bays under the hotel management, it is a street parking needing to be paid through an app such as TNG ewallet or FlexiPark.
Overall: Staff and services were amazing. Management really needs to step up in maintaining the building's interiors, specifically the bathrooms. I would recommend for those looking for a budget hotel to stay and please let the receptionist know about any issues with the room, they are more than happy to help.
