Timez Hotel Malacca

Good enough for solo traveller. The location was super good and main attraction for me because it's inside jonker street. The hotel does housekeeping every day whether you put the sign or not. They provide free simple breakfast too. Not included during booking, you will be informed when you check in.

We booked the Family Suite, which comes with one queen bed and one single bed and overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Timez Hotel Melaka. The biggest highlight has to be the location. It is 100% spot on, just a stone’s throw away from Jonker Street Night Market and many of Melaka’s famous attractions. It’s incredibly convenient if you want to explore the area on foot. The room itself felt quite homely and thoughtfully set up. You can tell the owner has put a lot of care into creating a comfortable little hotel. There’s a coffee machine, bottled water, cups and all the basic amenities you would need. The bathroom was particularly impressive. It is spacious, very well lit and has a bathtub which the kids absolutely loved. The ceiling-mounted shower head was also a nice touch and the water pressure and hot water were excellent. There’s a large mirror and the bathroom is wheelchair-friendly, with a grab handle beside the toilet. We didn’t need these features ourselves but I can imagine they would be especially appreciated by families travelling with elderly members. The room lighting was also surprisingly good and the air-conditioning was very cold; great if you enjoy a really cool room although perhaps a little too cold for those who prefer warmer temperatures. Breakfast was complimentary. It was a simple breakfast but sufficient for us and a nice touch to have it included. One thing the kids found particularly fascinating was the cute little lift. Apparently it is made in Sweden and is the type you often see in smaller European hotels. Not exactly a deciding factor for a hotel stay but definitely a fun little feature! There are, however a few areas that could be improved. Some of the hotel tiles looked slightly stained and unfortunately, the sofa in the bedroom looked quite dirty, which was a little unpleasant. Cleanliness of the soft furnishings could definitely be improved. There is no parking directly at the hotel which is understandable given that it is located within the Jonker shoplots. The nearest public car park is less than a five-minute walk away. It wasn’t a huge problem for us but it can be slightly inconvenient if you need to drop off or pick up luggage especially when the night market is in full swing. The TV also had limited channel options although this wasn't a major issue for us since we spent most of our time exploring outdoor. Overall, I think Timez Hotel is a charming and very well-located option for families who want to stay right in the heart of Jonker Street. There are a few areas that could use some attention, particularly the cleanliness of the sofa and some of the hotel finishes but you can definitely see the thought and effort that has gone into setting up the hotel. For us, the spacious family bathroom, comfortable room, excellent water pressure, cold air-conditioning and unbeatable location made it a worthwhile stay.

Staff is friendly, especially Aman who attending to our check-in arrangement. Room is clean. Location is just few steps away from Jonker Street. Limited facilities but not a concern. We prefer to be out to explore the town. Even no private parking is available but the public parking is just few min walk only. Definitely will come back whenever we are going to Melaka.
