    My wife and I stayed in this resort for three nights. Its a quaint, vintage resort that has excellent view of the Mount Kinabalu. The food was quite good and the restaurant attendants went out of the way to accommodate my request for vegetarian food. I recommend this place highly.

    We booked a room for 2 adults, one child. When we arrived for check in, they insisted that our booking included breakfast for 2 and we had to pay for our 6 year old. We refused since we had a booking for three, breakfast should be for three. Nice rooms but no fridge. Breakfast very poor for this type of hotel. You need to order from a list and they only have tea, coffee and one juice that you can self-serve.

    I was genuinely looking forward to staying at this resort. Although it is generally priced higher than most other resorts in Kundasang, I decided to book it based on the many positive reviews highlighting its excellent location and breathtaking surrounding scenery. True enough, we were given a room with a spectacular view, which was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, once we settled into the room and experienced the breakfast, the overall experience became rather disappointing and, frankly, quite shocking considering the premium price being charged. Firstly, there were no standard power sockets near the bedside—only USB charging ports, and unfortunately, these were not functioning. The only available power socket was located near the kettle area, far from the bed, which was highly inconvenient. The TV channels were also problematic. According to the receptionist, the channels rely on the Wi-Fi connection, resulting in poor and inconsistent viewing quality. The mattress was another major disappointment. It was overly firm, and I could even feel the springs underneath, making it uncomfortable and affecting the quality of sleep. Surprisingly, the room did not even come with a basic mini fridge, which is something I would reasonably expect at this price level. Need it to keep the snacks and drinks bought upon checking. Breakfast was included but served on an à la carte basis, where guests could only select one dish. I chose the nasi lemak, and unfortunately, it was one of the least satisfying versions I have had. The rice lacked the rich aroma and flavour of coconut milk, tasting rather bland. Simply tasted awful. The chicken rendang did not seem freshly prepared and tasted more like a frozen dish that had simply been reheated. Even the coffee was disappointing, as it tasted heavily diluted and lacked body and flavour. Overall, it feels as though guests are paying primarily for the stunning scenery rather than the quality of the room, facilities, and dining experience. While the view is undeniably beautiful, the resort falls short in many basic areas that should be expected, especially given the premium rates charged. The price paid simply does not reflect the standard of accommodation provided. The management should address these shortcomings urgently, as there is significant room for improvement in both the lodging and dining experience.
