    Lovely room with coffee tea etc . Good molton brown toiletries . Room a little warm but there was a big fan . Staff lovely .

    I booked this hotel in Luxembourg through Agoda for a one-day business trip. The Agoda listing did not clearly disclose that the hotel had no air conditioning, which is a major negative point and something I would have relied on before booking. I checked in because reception and lobby had air condition, went to the room and immediately realised there was no air conditioning. The hotel only provided a fan. I complained straight away, but by that point I was already checked in and stuck dealing with the issue. I had also paid extra to upgrade to a design room, but that room also had no air conditioning, so I downgraded back to the original double room. I was awake the whole night in a hot room, despite having business meetings the next day. Agoda refused to refund me properly and only offered a small amount of AgodaCash, which is not the same as refunding the money I paid. In the end i ended up getting half the money back but i had contantly fight for it whole night with two different people (yes they changed shifts and i was still there in hot room fighting) This was extremely disappointing, especially as I have used Agoda regularly for travel bookings. The issue was not simply hotel comfort, it was the failure to clearly disclose a major missing facility before booking and Agoda’s poor handling of the complaint afterwards. Based on this experience, I would be very cautious about relying on Agoda listings unless all key facilities are independently checked directly with the hotel before booking.
