    We had a nice stay at Sani Stone Lodge, less than 8km down the main tarred road from border control at Sani top. The units are a further 3km , from the main road down a farm road in a secluded position, with a lovely view over a valley to the river below. The spacious thatched rondawels are basic but functional with an attached bathroom with a gas-geyser for hot water for the shower and basin, and beds dressed with warm Basotho blankets that kept us toasty on a colder-than-expected rainy and windswept December night. The staff were really lovely people, friendly and willing to help. They built a fire for us in the hearth that night. Be aware that electricity is supplied from 6 pm to 10 pm, but that there is a paraffin lamp in the room if you do not have your own lamp. There is a separate dining area, but I am not sure if meals or wi-fi were available. It was very quiet, the only sounds being from sheep wandering past. A nice overnight stay very near to Sani pass.

    Very friendly staff. Well kept taking into account the remoteness. Rugged nature experience. Need a 4x4 to access. This is the thing if you want to experince Lesotho and raw nature.
