    We had a great time exploring this unique place. Rooms are so huge and the bathroom is the largest I’ve ever seen. Great selection of food as well as fantastic staff. Love to stay there again in the future.

    Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable. The property itself is a beautifully preserved historic building—once the Dutch Harbour Master’s home—which adds a rare sense of character and depth to the experience. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a hidden gem. The setting was unexpectedly serene, and at times it even felt as though we had the entire place to ourselves. One of the highlights was a private tour of the Harbour Master’s original chambers, now transformed into the hotel’s master suite. It was a fascinating glimpse into the past and added something genuinely special to our stay. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance that enhanced the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere throughout our visit. That said, as with any historic property, it’s important to embrace its age. This is not a place of modern perfection—but that is precisely its charm. If you come expecting sleek uniformity, you may miss the point. Instead, lean into the history, the character, and the quiet elegance it offers. A truly beautiful and memorable escape.

    The hotel is extremely well maintained, very large bedrooms and big king size bed. Breakfast was set menu and the Sri Lankan course was the best. The swimming pool was also very nice.
