Our 3-night stay at the Champa Palace Hotel was an outstanding experience that completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional; the entire team—starting from the friendly porter to the welcoming reception and attentive food and beverage staff—went above and beyond. As vegetarians, we were incredibly grateful that the breakfast team went out of their way to provide us with delicious, tailored options each morning. The highlights of our stay included: The Room: We were kindly upgraded to a very spacious, clean, and classy looking room that made our stay feel extra special. The Grounds: The property area is absolutely huge, offering plenty of beautiful areas to relax and explore. The Boardwalk: The scenic boardwalk overlooking the river was a beautiful touch, especially at night when the lighting created a wonderful ambiance. The Location: The hotel is conveniently located near car rental providers and several restaurants that we wanted to try. We highly recommend Champa Palace for its top-tier hospitality and stunning property!

Champa Palace Hotel, supposedly a 5-star establishment, offers the illusion of luxury but lacks the quality, not even that of a 2-star hotel, given how unpleasant, arrogant, and completely unhelpful the young woman at the Front desk was during check-in. First, I was given an extremely noisy room despite clearly requesting a very quiet one. Then, as an alternative, I was given a room without a balcony, even though I had booked and paid for a superior room with a balcony… And this woman had the nerve to tell me that the real price for a superior room is $65, dismissing the fact that I paid a lower price through Agoda and implying that I had no right to complain! This employee is unworthy of the position she is supposed to hold, and she gives a very bad impression of this hotel from the very first contact. Another employee took over, much more professional, and offered me a quiet room with a balcony—in short, exactly what I had clearly specified in my Agoda reservation over ten days prior. When I arrived at the room with an employee, the key card didn't work because it wasn't activated… He opened the room with his keycard and discovered with me that it was a twin room, even though I had requested a double. He went back to reception and returned, unable to explain the situation because he didn't speak a word of English. Is this normal in a supposedly international high-end hotel? In the end, they offered to make the two beds into one large one, which was fine, finally. This whole episode with reception and check-in completely discouraged me from having lunch or dinner there, so I went elsewhere. The room is comfortable and elegant, but dark, and it's supposed to have a balcony, but it's worth noting that it actually overlooks the shared hallway with no table or chair to sit on – a shame. Finally, the selection of international TV channels and apps is extremely limited for a hotel that aspires to be a 5-star international establishment. Not even BBC World, not even TV5MONDE or the app TV5MONDE+. Overall, this hotel has potential, but it desperately needs to train their staff in customer service, especially the Front desk staff – because people like the unpleasant young employee mentioned above do far more harm than good to the hotel's image.
