excellent location for the temple visit. Great for a few days off too.

Though overprized, the camp has a serene atmosphere and the staff are very accomodating and warm. Some sustainable and eco friendly alternatives to air conditioning should be provided especially in summers. Rooms are not well maintained and lack of cleanliness is a problem. The food served is excellent and very healthy.

Really serene environment. Rooms are decent but dont expect any luxury, do remember that you are in the middle of a jungle. Really great place to unwind, beat part is there’s no mobile reception.

I’m writing this to communicate and probably a red flag, about one of the horrible incidents that we faced in one of the Jungle Lodges Property Aanejari Butterfly Camp-junglelodges We had made a booking in the above-said property for two days, wooden cottages I have contacted the manager and has intimated to him that we would be requiring an early check-in and would be checking out early on the last day to which he said that he would make arrangements and I can plan for the same (Mentioning this to make a point that he was aware of our itinerary a month early) On the previous day the booking manager deployed an employee, to reach out to me, He looked like a shabby character right from the outset to me PS: The Manager doesn't look involved or interested in speaking to the guests Coming straight to the point.we saw one shadow of a person peeping through the window of our cottage, around 10 pm ( in the window on the right side to the entrance or on the side of the lake) He was ständing near the window and starring inside the room for a good 15mts before we noticed him & it was shocking for us to expect such things from an institute of the repute of Jungle Lodges ( a Karnataka-claimed property) It was indeed shocking for my family and they are yet to get out of the shock from this horrible incident When I came out shouting at him, he ran off towards the staff quarters of the property ( Kitchen side) The shadow looks like the one with whom we were interacting, as the person was long in size and had a similar physical structure to one of the people we were interacting with on the property, though we are not sure about the same We checked out the next morning, after a horrible night at your property and forfeiting a day’s booking and all the activities planned at the camp I have even cancelled the Kudagadri trip that was arranged for the next day & he kept following up with me for this private trip even after we vacated the property the next day, ( His behaviour was suspicious ) I reported this horrible incident the very next day to the Manager who was not there on the property & he told me that he would look into the same and apologised for the inconvenience etc I don't think that he has taken this issue seriously However, you would appreciate the gravity of the issue and how this sort of criminal behaviour could snowball into something more disastrous in future Some of the other things to note that I have observed during my stay at the property Staff used to sit in groups in front of the Kitchen and stare at the female guests going to the canteen or for any other activity Staff lacked basic discipline and some of them were not even wearing uniforms, they are talking to you as though they were doing a favour They run parallel bookings with private parties outside the resort and take cuts for the same ( Need to be verified though) I had stayed earlier in Dubare elephant camp and even on your property in Kabani. I had a very pleasant experience in both of the said properties and hence I decided to choose Aanejari for my stay at Mangalore This was such a horrible experience in my life that the staff in this property looked like they were running a cartel under the leadership of this employee and every interface of them was nothing short of a criminal. I think you would appreciate the fact that a stranger was peeping through the window of a private cottage and observing the inmates for a long time ( the windows are open, no CCTV, Not even lights & there are raised podiums around the window where a person can stand and observe) can be a terrible experience for a family Trust you would take appropriate actions against these criminals and keep the property in order so that one more person should not face such an ordeal in a reputed property of Karnataka tourism
