    On the plus side: The room suite was quite spacious compared to some other hotels and functional with the separate living room and low table with ziasu style chairs. Ski storage and drying room in the basement had plenty of space for gear. Big onsens (men’s and women’s) in the basement. Excellent view from the corner 4f room. Staff were very helpful. On the negative side: The room suite (and hotel in general) is getting a bit run down and in need of renovation. 4F hall ceiling was leaking in multiple places, dripping water into buckets on the floor. Bathroom in the suite had peeling paint on the walls, sink separating from the wall, and no hand soap or hand towels provided in the room. There is a window above the room door (why?) which was just a piece of plexiglass that had popped out of the frame, so any hall noise would enter the room. Couldn’t close the in room sliding door without it catching in the frame and squealing like crazy. Wifi in the room had spotty reception / speed making just basic internet use difficult.

    We had a beautiful stay here. Central in Akakura and our room was spacious and clean. Owners were also lovely. Thank you for a great stay! :)

    the location was fantastic if you have ski resort time in mind. The owners were lovely as was his grandmothers art found around the hotel. The rooms and Onsen were a little outdated/needing love and not very well-kept. Nonetheless it was a great experience and I wish them all the best.
