    I've stayed here many times and have a lot of affection for the place. Love the artistic ambience and the laid back kitchen/lounge area. It's gotten a bit worn down over the years but that's part of the charm. The neighborhood is great too.

    Overall is good But due to this is 12 people room, if some one have bad habbit u will die, I face a people that keep his phone alam ring from 5am until 6 am, Crazy and didn't care others feeling. Sry that I don't dare to slap his face.

    Right next to old part of Kyoto. Otherwise normal hostel.

    BLACK MOULD INFESTATION. There is a clear lack of care from the staff. The showers have mould from the floor to the ceiling. The place is covered in dust and they only clean as far as they can reach. The beds are dirty, when you lift your mattress to put on your owm sheets there is dust and dirt. The carpets are damp, but they give you slippers so you don't feel it. The toilets don't really have a place to wash your after using the toilets, spreading germs around the hostel. I overheard staff being trained and they said they only change the duvet cover if it smells or is dirty?! As other reviews said there is a weird smell. It's damp. I am not sure staff even monitor the hostel because there are some bunks being shared by 2 people.
