Looking for a comfortable stay in Kanazawa without breaking the bank? This hotel is a hidden gem. Just a short stroll from the historical heart of the city, it puts you within walking distance of Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, and the atmospheric Higashi Chaya district. The rooms? Surprisingly spacious. Think big beds, wide windows, and even retro bathtubs that whisper stories from the 90s, when this place was considered one of the city’s finest. You can still feel traces of its former glory—from the polished lobby to the soft carpeted hallways that haven’t rushed to catch up with modern trends (and that’s part of the charm). There’s even a Lawson right next door, which makes midnight snack runs or quick breakfasts before sightseeing super convenient. Honestly, it feels like something Maeda Toshiie himself might have approved—if he traded his armor for slippers and a keycard. Quiet, clean, nostalgic, and full of little conveniences—it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a well-kept local secret. Would I stay again? Without a doubt.
