    This is our favorite hotel in Osaka. Its proximity to the OCAT makes it the best place to stay, especially after several days of shopping. The rooms are spacious and clean, complete with amenities from slippers, pajamas and toiletries. The service is also very good. Thank you Hotel Monterey

    Rooms are quite dated, and the bathrooms are very dated. One toilet and bathroom together, not a separate wet room. Shower is in tub with a plastic pull shower curtain. There is a floor drain and the bathroom had a smell of sewage and urine. It was the worst hotel we had on our trip out of 5 hotels. I would suggest finding an alternative, there were many in the area.

    The only issue I encountered during this booking was a mix-up between Agoda and the hotel. We had booked a room for a family of three, but upon arrival, the staff informed us that we had been mistakenly assigned a queen bed room. Consequently, they had to modify our booking and charge us an additional $130. However, they assured us that it was an upgrade and that the room had a city view. Upon entering our room, we were disappointed to find that it was not an upgrade at all. Instead, it had three single beds and no city view. The view was actually from behind the buildings. Despite this setback, the location of the hotel was great. It was conveniently located near Dotombori, the train and bus terminal, and other amenities.
