    I recently booked a single room here for my son to stay in while his wife was having her first child at the maternity hospital nearby. Needless to say he was barely even there. When my wife went to visit him in the evening to pick up some dirty washing and talk about the new baby she was accosted by a staff member from the front desk who tried to refuse her access up to my son's room. My wife asked with some incredulity if a mother could not visit her son in this hotel. The rude staff said 'basically no'. I have since revisited the booking page and under 'hotel policies' it makes no mention of any such rule. This was supposed to be a beautiful time with a new father telling his excited mother about the birth. Instead, my wife was treated with the suspicion of a visiting prostitute. Even after explaining that she was just there to pick something up. There really is no excuse for this. If indeed the hotel has such a ridiculous policy that paying customers cannot have family members visit their room, this should at least be explained in the hotel policies section of the booking process, it clearly is not written there. This is Outrageous and impersonal service from this hotel.

    A friend and I stayed in the twin room and the beds were super comfortable and spacious. The room was clean and we had a good stay. Pyjamas provided. Free breakfast buffet. Public onsen (which we didn't use). The only downside is that the location is a taxi ride from the train station away. It felt more convenient for people who arrived by car.
