We stayed at Daiwa Roynet Hotel for three nights and we were happy with it. It is conveniently located, about a 2-3 minute walk from station. The hotel, rooms are clean and staff were friendly. We didn’t book breakfast, so can’t comment on that. We booked a Queen superior room and paid more for it as we had bags etc. The room was a very good size but had absolutely no windows. It was awful and I particularly felt claustrophobic. So we asked for a room change and whilst they couldn’t accommodate our request for the first night, they changed our room the next day. The staff were really helpful and friendly and gave us an equally sized room with a large window overlooking the Okayama station. One thing to note is that unlike a lot of Japanese hotels where you get your amenities, this hotel does not provide a shower cap in case you are a female traveller with long hair.
