    Free fireworks on the NYE. Nice breakfast and chill vibes in the hotel. Room is big and l option is great. Walking distance to nearby restaurant if you are not driving.

    Hotel is tired looking. Rooms are a good size and good views. Bar was closed for renovation and no alternative offered. Waited 15 m for a table in a tiny restaurant for breakfast at 7 am with poor choice of food (for almost £20 per person). Restaurant for lunch closed at 3 and we were offered food as a “favour”. Drinks took 25 mins to come - after 15 mins told no vegetarian salad - only one option on the menu. Last meal totally forgotten. Chinese restaurant only available at weekends. Can’t play golf after 4. Overall in no way 5 star hotel and definitely not worth the price. Super disappointing- if I hadn’t already paid for 5 nights I would have moved hotels.

    Beautiful Property, but Cleanliness Fell Short I paid around *** for two nights, so I expected a significantly higher standard of cleanliness and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I found mold in the shower room, hair on the carpet and sofa, and oily stains around the door and door handles. At this price point, these are things I would expect to be thoroughly checked before a guest arrives. I want to be fair to the housekeeping staff, who were polite. To me, this felt less like an issue with individual staff members and more like a need for stronger quality control and more consistent room inspections. The service was professional, but at times it also felt quite mechanical and impersonal. For an InterContinental stay at this price level, I expected a little more warmth and personal attention. The property itself is impressive, but at roughly *** for two nights, the cleanliness and overall service experience did not match my expectations.
