We moved a lot of hotels in our multi country trip and Hotel Engadina was definitely one of the best. Located very close to the lake and the ferries. The staff were really nice, break fast was good, rooms were clean and there was air conditioning which was very nice during the heat wave. Outside was really loud - the locals love their dirt bikes here for some reason, but once the windows were closed we couldn’t hear anything.

I enjoyed the friendly welcome by the staff: the gentleman at the reception on morning duty was particularly friendly and helpful and also served breakfast in the mornings.
I found the room and all public areas very clean and well maintained. The furniture is quite oldfashioned but in good shape. The bathroom was small but had a powerful shower. The hairdryer was rather slow/weak model that hardly did the job. The room also had a fridge, a safe and an aircon system („Italian“ style).
The location is close to the lake (3min walk), the train station Como S Giovanni (8min), the train station Como Lago (15min walk) and city centre (15min) a Carrefour supermarket is 2min away.
Breakfast was quite comprehensive with cold cuts & cheese, a bread selection, jams, chocolate spread, juice and freshly made Italian coffee specialities.
Unfortunately, the traffic noise is quite annoying even with air plugs but the rest made up for it!

It is hard to move with baggages to the hotel from station!

It was ok. Pretty basic decor with soft bed mattresses. Did not get the chance to try the included breakfast, as needed to leave early.
