    Our two-night stay at Windflower Resort had some good moments, particularly the food and the ATV ride with my kids, but unfortunately they were overshadowed by a serious safety incident. When we arrived, our room was ready, but I had to carry our luggage from reception to the room myself, with assistance from only one staff member. On the first night, maintenance had to work on the hot water supply in our room late in the evening which took away around 2-3 hrs of my time. Afterwards, we noticed that hot water was coming even when the washbasin tap was turned towards cold. Since water was flowing and we were able to use the bathroom, I didn't think much of it at the time. The situation became frightening the next day. Steaming hot water came through the bathroom fixtures, including washbasin tap, faucet and the commode. My wife was hit by the hot water on her hand and was burnt. Thankfully, she immediately alerted us, and I kept my child away from the bathroom. When I asked the front desk for Burnol or something for the burn, they did not have it available. They did not have any first aid available and she applied toothpaste on the burn. I also attached a video showing the hot water/steam coming from the bathroom fixture. The swimming pool was another concern. The water looked greenish-yellow, and I did not feel comfortable allowing my family to use it. The food was good and we enjoyed the ATV experience, but basic guest safety has to come before everything else. Based on what happened to us, I cannot recommend this resort to families until these maintenance and safety issues are properly addressed.
