Over The Hill Resort

We recently stayed at Over The Hill Resort as a family and booked a pool villa. Overall, it was a good and relaxing stay, but it helps to manage expectations—this is a cozy, 3-star boutique property rather than a large luxury resort. Rooms & Facilities (4/5): The rooms are quite spacious, featuring a private compound feel with a plunge pool right outside in the corridor. The room and bathroom sizes are very fair for a 3-star category. The in-room plunge pool is sized like a proper plunge pool with a depth of around 1.3 meters and with filtering systems. ​Swimming Pools (3.5/5): The main pool is decent, though not very large, and includes a kids' pool area with depth around or more than 1m. Note that the depths across main sections are not indicated but we think its around 1.5m or 1.6m without any slope, making them deeper than usual hotel pools, and there are no safety handrails for entering or exiting. The sides of the pool have smooth tiles with an inclination ; my wife actually slipped and fell down when trying to get out, so extra caution is needed here. Additionally, one end of the main pool accumulated tree debris or pollen, which wasn't cleared by staff during our stay. ​Property & Ambience (4/5): The resort features lovely green areas and plenty of great photo-taking locations, making it very picturesque for families. ​Staff & Hospitality (4/5): The staff were very cooperative and humble throughout our stay. While you shouldn't expect corporate-like professionalism, their warm and friendly nature truly added to the comforting vibe of the place. ​Dining & Pricing (3/5): There is a very small on-site restaurant with just 4 to 5 tables. The complimentary breakfast buffet spread is limited to match the small guest capacity, but all South Indian items—along with made-to-order omelets — all items were very good and tasty. However we feel that food bills are on the expensive side, matching 5-star rates, plus there is an extra 10% room service charge. We ordered dinner in-room; portions were large, but the taste was just normal. ​Pros: Spacious rooms, nice private plunge pool villas, beautiful green photo spots, warm and humble staff, and a tasty breakfast. Cons: Main pool needs better maintenance (debris clearance) and safety handrails; food pricing is slightly on the higher side for a 3-star property. ​Recommendation: Great for a quiet family or couple getaway if you want privacy and a scenic boutique experience, but don't expect the corporate sophistication of big hotel brands.

The place is so good, its location, facilities, cleanliness, staff service, food all in a budget friendly manner. Really liked it. Recommended

Location is on a hill top and good . But the facilities are not value for money , restaurant having no variety dishes and average in nature, staff are so good.value for money out of 5 is 2 .
