Meadows Residency

We had a really pleasant and comfortable stay at Meadows Residency, Ooty. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The room was neat, clean, and cosy, and the staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the homely feel of the place. Our stay added to the enjoyment of our Ooty trip, and we left with some very happy memories. We would definitely love to stay here again on our next visit.

We had a very pleasant 3-night stay at Meadows Residency. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming, and their hospitality was exceptional throughout our stay. The food was also really good. What we especially appreciated was how thoughtfully they took care of our 4-year-old and made sure we were comfortable. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for 4 days & 3 nights. The stay has been awesome throughout. Clean rooms, nearby to happening places, eateries. Quite friendly staff. Food is very good. My kids happily left a thank you note with Hotel.

I checked in today on 4th Oct Sunday and checked out with in a few hours. Poor staying conditions and extremely poor service to say the least. Background: Had booked for three nights 4th to 7th Oct 2026. Was influenced with so called reviews which was my biggest mistake trying a different place in Ooty simply based of reviews. Issue 1: Had to wait at least 20 plus minutes at the property for check in - Reason stated that the room was in under the cleaning process. This should have been ready before my check-in clearly, isn't it? I was travelling the whole of previous night with wife and two kids who are under four years, the journey itself was tiresome and asking us to wait for checkin was not professional at all. Issue 2: A room attendant mentioned hot water will be available 24/7. The moment we wanted to take shower after a tiring journey..the tap only had cold water, waited for an hour for water to heat but it remained cold and my wife has to take a cold shower in Ooty without any option. But I can't take similar risk for my young kids. The irony is I had call twice to complain about this every time attendants assured that it will be sorted soon but none had even bothered to respond back. Issue 3: The water faucet in the toilet was leaking all over the place, tried to adjust and clean myself but water splashed all over my clothes due to leaked faucet. Complained to the reception by dialling 9, same response okay sir will look into it and no one bothered to attend to. Finally frustrated had to head to the front desk and highlighted my plight. Here Mr. *** was empathetic and informed that the one which is booked was a honey moon suite and they only have one room available below the grade which I refused to accept.. When I mentioned that my wife is fuming with anger then he spoke with his manager and tried to upgrade it to one level higher. (At this point I completely lost my trust) How did this room appear out of nowhere when all rooms were at full capacity? It was not about the upgradation of the room. Why was the room not checked thoroughly before letting customers in? Why the room attendant was simply pointing fingers at room supervisor and did not take the ownership on behalf of his colleagues and where is the accountability and ownership? Aren't they all supposed to work for one company/ hotel? Issue 4: The linens appeared unclean and unhygienic. At this moment it added fuel to fire and my wife lost it completely and I had to bear the brunt of it. This is when we decided to check out though booking amount was paid for all three nights. Mr. *** was empathetic and apologise profusely and it was not his fault. However he should have been honest when he initially suggested a lower grade room and when I refused to accept and notified about checking out he got permission to upgrade to a better room? Transparency and trust has been lost. I would kindly request that hotel to refund my payment after speaking to Agoda as I cannot reach them directly and only option available was to email you. Appreciate even if partial refund is made and I barely used your hotel for a few hours and made full payment for three nights. Hoping to get a positive response soon and try to be professional at this time atleast.
