    We stayed at Aarem Valley Castle, Kodaikanal from 7th to 10th June 2025. While the hotel staff was courteous and responsive, our overall experience was mixed due to several inconveniences. Pros: The staff service was prompt and helpful. When we requested a room change due to strong kitchen smells from the ground floor, they arranged a new room for us the next day. As a pure vegetarian family, we appreciated their support in providing clean utensils when we ordered food from a nearby veg-only restaurant, even though the hotel itself serves both veg and non-veg. Cons: Contrary to expectations, the hotel does not offer scenic valley views. It is surrounded by other buildings and resorts, which limits the natural ambiance. Unfortunately, during our stay, one of the neighboring resorts hosted a marriage ceremony with loud South Indian music for two out of the three days, making it difficult to relax. Hot water was not consistently available. We had to call reception each time we needed it, and it would only to be available for a while. The hotel is relatively expensive for the amenities and experience it offers. While the staff did their best to accommodate us, the lack of peaceful surroundings, inconsistent hot water, and high pricing made the stay less enjoyable than expected. This hotel may suit travelers who prioritize location and service, but it’s not ideal for those seeking tranquility or a scenic getaway.

    It’s not far from the lake /city centre . The photos of children play area shown is located in a neighbouring property to which the gusts has no Access. Parking is behind building which is very congested. It’s a deep slope down to the parking. Property has no restaurant its dining area is just a room with some desks and chairs. Complimentary brake fast is Disha idly Upma and alooporota , Samabar and chutny same in our 2 days stay. No Eggs / salads . In front of the property there are 2 very old car workshops. Ist difficult to navigate to the parking through the junks kept outside these workshops

    I stayed at Aarem Valley Castle and found the experience to be average overall. The hotel is located close to the lake, roughly a 10–12 minute walk, which is convenient for sightseeing. The rooms are average. Hot water is available only for a limited time in the morning and evening. Although individual water heaters are provided in the rooms, they were not working during my stay. The restaurant is located on the ground floor but is quite congested. Breakfast was complimentary; however, the options were very limited. On the positive side, the staff are very cooperative and helpful, which made the stay more comfortable. The hotel also has sufficient parking space, which is a big plus. Overall, it’s an average stay—acceptable for a short visit if expectations are kept moderate.
