Rooms are renovated, smaller in size, clean except one random cockroach in our room. Towels could have been better as well. Avoid the rooms near the stairs since staff gather there and their banter can be disturbing. Food is excellent. Ordered in room service and the chicken tikka was delicious, reached the room at the right temperature as well. Even the breakfast was good the next morning. Service was excellent again especially Mr. Arun Shetty. He was also smiling and courteous, ready to go beyond his duty. A special mention for Sandesh, the Captain too.

Location is great, access to shopping areas and tourist attractions. Rooms are comfortable and were clean. Breakfast was however okayish, it could be better as it served only Indian food.

Oriental Residency is a good hotel , providing value for money , hosting business travellers including goras (not the hippie types) , and families . The rooms are spacious , clean loos , good breakfast spread . The meals can be a bit expensive , but seem to be well prepared . Avoid Room 501 , the bathroom is falling apart , with rusted bathroom fixtures falling apart that may injure people . Polite and courteous staff as well . Would recommend this hotel , except room 501
