Arrived late to check in. Young university student staff member was lovely and very accommodating to four older bridge players! Loved the fireplace and foyer. Only criticism was a lack of electrical outputs at the head of the beds.

This hotel was clean, room was very large, bed was very comfortable with crisp white sheets and staff were absolutely lovely, but the walls are paper thin and I mean paper thin, so unfortunately I have to leave this cautionary note for other guests. I could hear not just voices but what they were saying, on both sides. Along with, let' say, night-time activities of my neighbours. Very clearly. :( I could hear switches and plugs as loudly as if they were in my own room, and bins opening and closing. Until these rooms are soundproofed I strongly suggest that staff allocate guests to rooms that have a vacancy on each side. It was disappointing to get such a poor night's sleep having booked in for a work training event the next day as I had a 4 hour journey to the training venue.
