    I had a bit of a nightmare on the first morning. I went to check in and I was unable to locate my passport. Dean on reception was very helpful and was going to take me to the police station. It eventually turned up but the help of reception was fantastic. The value for money is great.

    The resort is well situated on the seafront in Los Pocillos with ocean views in many of the rooms which were very spacious and there are many bars and restaurants within a short walk from there. The accommodation itself is very basic but it was the cheapest deal I could get at short notice. Accommodation is very expensive in Lanzarote at this time of year in my opinion, but this was approx *** per night for a solo traveller, other hotels were much more expensive. The accommodation is in need of some investment and extensive refurbishment, which I'm sure would make it much more profitable for the owners and more pleasant for the clients. It's a bit tired and scruffy but mostly cosmetic and the furnishings need updating. It was fine for my needs on this trip but I doubt I would return given its current condition. The man at reception, although effecient enough, could do with an occasional smile as he doesn't seem to enjoy his job and seemed a little curt. Overall it was ok, and if you just want somewhere to lay your head and shower etc it's reasonable, plus it has free WiFi and plenty of parking outside, so good for the budget traveller.
