    Hotel is very well located, easy to get from Gare Du Nord, and can close to metro, easy to get to most places. Nice restaurants and bars around. Room is bit small but clean, staff are all very friendly. Highly recommend!

    The location of this hotel was great and the staff was helpful and friendly. Cleanliness was top-notch and the facilities provide free Wi-Fi. Breakfast included with the room offered a variety of both hot and cold item, but they did have issues with keeping up with timely replenishing the buffet. The room itself for a 2-twin bed configuration was tight and cramped. We were aware that rooms in Paris were generally small, but this room could not easily handle 2 adults with large suitcases. There wasn't much room for maneuvering and unpacking so we had to live out of the suitcase during our stay. On the other hand, the bathroom was nice and enjoyable. I would tend to recommend this hotel more if you are travelling alone and/or have only a carry-on or small suitcase for a comfortable stay.

    Our experience at Maxim Opéra and was extremely disappointing. Pros: The only real advantage is the central location, which is convenient for exploring Paris. Cons: The bed was unbelievably small — even by Paris standards. It is absolutely not suitable for a couple. We slept terribly, and it left me with real back pain. Comfort should be a basic expectation, and this was far below acceptable. Worse, there was a very strong mold smell throughout the hotel, including inside the room. It was overwhelming and frankly disgusting. The odor made me feel unwell, and we couldn’t even sit in the lobby to relax with a glass of wine because the smell was so bad. There is a Nespresso machine in the lobby, and we strongly suspect the coffee caused me a stomach ache. Out of four people traveling together — all eating the exact same food — I was the only one who drank that coffee, and the only one who got sick. Once I stopped drinking it, I felt significantly better. Overall, aside from the location, this hotel was uncomfortable and unpleasant. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
