Great in February given the low price (I paid about *** per night). Very clean, very nice staff. Great facilities. If you have a car, the location is terrific, too, you can be almost anywhere on the island within slightly under an hour drive.
It feels very much like an American country club, which is probably on purpose.
The "welcome gift" you is a ruse for an opportunity to sell you a timeshare using the typical high-pressure sales tactics. That part is a bit icky.
