We visited this hotel two years ago and it is the most fantastic place to stay with the bay views. We paid a lot of money for a Prestige Bay View room with a double bed. We were given a partial bay view room with two single beds and when we asked if we could move we’re told the hotel was fully booked and we could not be moved.. Very disappointing should be made much clearer what exactly you are paying for. Would still recommend this hotel but just be sure what you are booking and paying for.

If you are after great view of San Sebastián, this hotel offers the best. It is overlooking the whole of San Sebastián with classic interiors of the hotel. The atmosphere is surely elegant. However, the hotel room services is not at par with other 4-star hotel. There is no proper coffee machine. They just have a electric kettle with powder coffee. In other 4star hotels, there is a nespresso machine with pods. At Mercure, there is no room service tea bags too. I enjoy complimentary tea bags and they did not offer that. There is no toothbrush with toothpaste at the room. No slippers. No bathrobe. These are some complimentary items that are very useful when offered by 4star hotels. But none are in this hotel. The room and bed are comfortable. We enjoyed the bathroom with tub. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed the breakfast. No complaints. In summary, we enjoyed the hotel for its views, interiors, adequate room service and great breakfast. We recommend that they add proper coffee machine, tea bags, toothbrush and slippers.

We enjoyed our stay but feel there wasn’t much choice for food n very expensive and could be advantage if it had a shop within the hotel for snacks etc ….
