    I had a wonderful time staying at the Pupp, and making the most of all the facilities there. The Spa, the pool, the restaurant, all were immaculate and staff were helpful. Breakfast also had a great selection. I was also given a leaving gift and staff helped me booked a bolt driver. I will definitely be coming back to the hotel!

    Everything was excellent. If there was a higher rating they well deserve it. Both restaurants are excellent and deserve the Michelin Star. The prices in the restaurants are modest compared to other restaurants in this category.

    We booked three rooms for the whole family to spend time together, but it turned out that we were all placed in different buildings. One of the buildings was across the bridge with stairs. My 84 y old grandma was placed there even though we asked for accessible room. Unfortunately staff told us that they can only allow her to stay in the main building if she pays £50 extra per night which seemed really wrong to me. We were also told that we should have booked directly through their website to ensure we booked the right room. Eventually we asked at a different reception and they did find a room in the “park view” building which is still not the main building but more accessible than the one across the bridge. Overall the receptionist at the main reception was very rude and condescending and no apology was offered. Issues with service continued at breakfast when we had to ask for coffee 3 times before someone came to take the order. Salads at the salad bar were old. Furthermore, the spa was not safe for elderly, floor was slippery and stairs everywhere. It is such a shame that this beautiful and historical building is being let down by awful service.
