Villa El Ancla

Just had a fantastic 2 weeks at villa Ancla. The villa is stunning, has everything you need. The views are spectacular as well. I was there with my partner and 3 children ages 17, 21 and 20 and not one complaint from them. The weather was hot which is how I like it and we also manage to see a lightning storm over the sea which was amazing. The view from the infinity pool made it look like you could go straight to the sea. We spent most of our time at the villa as only my partner drove and the road to the villa from Sayalonga is a bit unnerving when there is a car coming in opposite direction. But that never impacted our holiday in the slightest. We did go to torre del mar and nerja which are good days out. We did the majority of our shopping at eroski and lidl in torre del mar, but the little corivan supermarket in sayalonga does have everything but the car would be needed from the villa unless you're an adventurous walker. Jan the owner was only a message away and was very quick at responding if we needed anything. It's beautiful, quiet area and having no phone signal was bliss. The Internet was very efficient so my children were happy that they could still use WhatsApp and there social media. Would highly recommend villa Ancla to anyone that is thinking of booking it.

Uppskattade havsutsikten, det avskilda läget och poolen! Härligt att man ser havet även när man är i poolen. Utsikt över pool och mot havet även inifrån köksspisen. Fint hus. Bekväma sängar. Bra solsängar vid poolen. Möjlighet till naturlig skugga (palmer) vid poolen. Stort matbord nära både köket och poolen, dessutom mestadels skugga vid matbordet under hela dagen. Myggnät till altandörrarna. Snabb kontakt med värden vid behov. Bra att vara informerad om att sista vägsträckan bör köras i dagsljus (åtminstone första gångerna). Glada att vi valde en så liten bil som möjligt för de smala och branta småvägarna.

Det hade underlättat att kunna värma matrester i mikrovågsugnen (det fanns en mikrovågsugn, men vi fick den inte är fungera). Vissa stekpannor var repiga i beläggningen och kändes inte så fräscha, vissa köksredskap var inte riktigt rendiskade. Hade gärna haft några fler kastruller i liten och mellanstorlek.

Directions for using every aspect of the villa were clear and complete, and a lot of thought went into planning for our enjoyment and comfort. Jan is extremely well organized and easy to reach with any questions. We loved our stay here!

The villa was located on a beautiful hillside but the road to get there was a bit tricky. Well worth the effort though!
