Hotel Barlovento

This is a solid 3-star hotel with exception location in Bocagrande. Steps from a 24-hour supermarket, a large variety of restaurants, money exchange offcies, two blocks from the Boca beach and its food shacks and aggressive vendors. The hotel facility has a nice pool and the property is well maintained and clean. The staff is friendly, and I found Mr. Luis to be quite cordial and helpful at al times. The buffet style breakfast was average with about four options, along with a few fruits and two juices. Nothing special about the breakfast though, and I found the taste for the four days to be rather blsnd. The juice was mostly watered down orange juice as a staple, and one other unrecognizable fruit juice that was not labeled. About 4 fresh fruits were avaibale every day and they were good, especially the papaya. The room with a queen bed felt cramped and the bathroom even more cramped because it was the size of a cruise ship bathroom. The bed, however was comfortable and the AC worked well. daily housekeeping service was good. I would stay at this hotel again simply because of the location, but I would have to get a different category of room with more space for two.

This is small,modern and cosy boutique hotel.5min walk beach,surrounded with good restaurants.Reception Lady and Louis,first time in Colombia,have very good English and are super nice so we’ll chosen employees,thank you for your smiles and attention.Pool small but nice area,breakfast and all day eating option at hotel very good.Quiet hotel in the busy town,all what one needs

the staff was very helpful. they advised places to go, tours, food, and other advice. good place to stay

I had two bad experiences during my stay and I was really disappointed. There weee ethical issues and please do yourself a favour, find another hotel. There are lots of other nicer hotels in the area.
