    The counter staff were welcoming, courteous and helpful. They were out to please guests. Secondly, the location of the hotel is literally at the doorstep of Zhongshan pedestrian street. Step out 25m, go down the broad steps and you are on the pedestrian street! These 2 factors help to raise my score of 80% from otherwise a low of 50%. The hotel is run down and there's the old carpet smell. The entry to the lobby area feels like you are entering a low cost apartment. The hotel owners ought to invest some money to refurbish the entire place that it may attain a score of 80% to 90%
